Description

The Civil Association Spoluprácou pre lepšiu budúcnosť – Veľký Meder (CA) engages in professional activities in three distinct fields: client services, project management, and adult education.

Since its establishment in 2012, the CA has dedicated its activities to fostering active citizen participation through initiatives focusing on education, lifelong learning, career counselling, and the (re)integration of disadvantaged job seekers into the labour market. For these activities, the CA received, in 2015, within the National Career Counselling Award, an Honourable Mention from the EUROGUIDANCE Centre.

The organization has played a significant role in addressing challenges related to adult education, particularly for disadvantaged groups, by developing and implementing innovative learning methodologies and distance learning materials.

The CA has actively contributed to policy development through its participation in international projects within the framework of Lifelong Learning and ERASMUS+ Programmes. The CA has cooperated as a coordinator and as a partner with diverse stakeholders, including educational institutions, vocational high schools, universities, research institutions, non-governmental organizations, and private sector entities from the EU, UK, Norway, and Türkiye. These collaborations have enabled the CA to influence and support policies that enhance educational and employment opportunities for disadvantaged groups, ensuring their integration into the labour market.

The organization’s founders possess extensive experience in managing adult education, including assessing educational needs, designing, and implementing training programs, evaluating their effectiveness, and providing career counselling. Their expertise extends to environmental protection and international cooperation, further strengthening the capacity of the CA to influence policy and practice in those areas.

National / international impact

  • Through innovative programs, research, and collaborations, the CA enhances the skills of educators, professionals working with disadvantaged groups, and the groups themselves.
  • The association contributes to national policies, international networks, and lifelong learning initiatives, fostering inclusive and modern educational practices.
  • The CA strengthens its role as a policy provider through memberships, including the Association of Adult Education Institutions in Slovakia, the Association for Career Guidance and Development, and the Pact for Skills in Slovakia.
  • The CA maintains a broad network across EU member states and Erasmus+ associated countries. Its impact extends through partnerships, training programs, and resource development, supporting both adult learners and educators.
