As we approach the launch of the European Year of Skills (EYS) we invite you to join us in celebrating and promoting the importance of skills throughout 2023. The start of the Year will be celebrated with a European Year of Skills Festival on 9 May. It will be linked up to other events and speakers across Europe to showcase skills-related efforts and highlight the value of skills.
To achieve real impact, there is a need of coalition of efforts of all stakeholders and labour market actors. Throughout the Year, there will be opportunities to engage in discussions, to learn from each other and to promote work in the field of skills development across Europe.
The European Basic Skills Network (EBSN) encourages its members to participate in the campaign actively, emphasizing the significance of basic skills in today’s rapidly changing world. Let us collaborate in sharing information about promotional activities and brainstorm ideas on how to better communicate the need for basic skills to the public, labour market actors, and policymakers.
