The Italian region of Reggio Emilia hosted a national conference on “Illiteracy and citizenship: Stories, statistics and rights in Italy and Europe”, on May 13th and 14th. Graciela Sbertoli, chair of the EBSN, had been invited as a speaker but could not attend. A pre-recorded video was sent instead, and the organizers report that it served as a very useful background for their discussions. Maybe this is a strategy we should use more often?
