Description

Bucovina Institute is an adult education provider with mission in promoting community development on the North East of Romania, South West of Ukraine and Republic of Moldova through learning partnership. Since 2011 when we got the legal status we developed and implemented several major projects in the field of social inclusion of vulnerable people ( NEETs, people with disability, Roma, law skills from rural area, etc) by creating learning on the job models.

At this moment we are working on 3 major domains: research of support services for employment, providing certified support services for employment (vocational counseling, training within apprenticeship model, coach and job mediation), and providing training programs for mentors, teachers and employers. We have experience in working with EU project funds as Erasmus +, ESF and Interreg and also on EEA Grants funds management. Based on our LLLP and Erasmus + experience we initiate several innovative projects on the field of digital alphabetization, assistive tools for learning ( www.cobalteu.com , www.dige4se.eu , etc) and vocational education (www.communitytrainingeu.com ). From 2018 we are implementing within transnational consortium a project named SEPAL –Supporting Employment Platform through Apprenticeship Learning (http://www.projectsepal.com/) focusing on piloting a model of learning on the job place with possibility to certify the key competencies for several level 1 qualifications. We are the lead partner with financial support from EEA Grants.

National/International Impact

Since 2012 we are part of the Social Firms Europe CEFEC, an European network on promoting social economy initiatives and we play a major role on social economy policy in Romania (www.socialfirmeseurope.eu ). At regional level we are part of the working group for vocational school in Suceava county and active for the movement “School for everyone” pushing the local and regional authorities on developing quality school on rural areas and roma communities. Since 2015 we are coordinating a monitoring process of segregation for roma children and children with disabilities in 100 schools from Suceava county .
